Delete your account
Last updated: August 2026
You can delete your PickPin account (the "PickPin Go" mobile app, operated by Pierre Breny) and its associated data at any time. There are two ways to do it, depending on whether you still have the app installed.
Option 1 — From the app (immediate)
- Open PickPin Go and sign in to your account.
- Go to the Profile tab, then Settings.
- Scroll to Delete Account.
- Tick the confirmation box, then confirm. Your account is deleted immediately and you are signed out.
Option 2 — By email (if you no longer have the app)
Email us from the email address linked to your account — that is how we verify the request comes from you — and include your PickPin username.
We acknowledge your request within 7 days and complete the deletion within 30 days at the latest. There is no charge and you do not have to give a reason.
What is deleted, what is kept
| Data | What happens |
|---|---|
| Account and credentials (email, password) | Permanently deleted. |
| Profile (username, display name, bio, avatar, city, country, gender, phone) | Permanently deleted. |
| XP, level, badges, leaderboard entry, follows | Permanently deleted. |
| Favourites, trips and trip history | Permanently deleted. |
| Photos you uploaded | Deleted from storage. |
| Community content (products, stores, prices, confirmations) | Kept but dissociated from your identity — it is no longer linked to you or your username. This information belongs to the shared database: erasing it would degrade the data other people rely on. |
| Backups and technical logs | Purged in the normal rotation cycle, within 30 days. |
Account deletion is permanent and irreversible: we cannot restore a deleted account, nor the XP, badges or trips attached to it.
Deleting some data without deleting your account
You don't have to delete everything. You can remove a photo, edit or clear your bio, change your avatar, delete a trip or remove a favourite directly in the app. You can also withdraw the location, camera and notification permissions at any time in your phone's settings.
Your other rights
Beyond erasure, the GDPR gives you rights of access, rectification, restriction, portability and objection. To exercise any of them, email hello@pickpin.io. You may also lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Authority (APD/GBA) in Belgium. See also our privacy policy.
