Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of these terms

By creating an account or using the PickPin app, you agree to these Terms of Service and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. Who we are

PickPin is operated by Pierre Breny, an individual based in Belgium. Contact: hello@pickpin.io.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to use PickPin. By using the service, you confirm that you meet this requirement.

4. Your account

You agree to provide accurate information, keep your password confidential, and be responsible for activity carried out from your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use.

5. Nature of the service and accuracy of data

PickPin is a collaborative service: product information and prices are submitted by users and may be inaccurate, incomplete, or out of date. They are provided "as is", for information purposes only, and are not a warranty of a product's price, availability, or characteristics. Always verify in store before purchasing. PickPin is not a seller and is not a party to the purchases you make.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• post false, misleading, illegal, offensive, or infringing content;
• impersonate any person or organization;
• send spam or automatically harvest/scrape data from the service;
• disrupt, circumvent security, or reverse-engineer the service;
• misuse other users' personal data.

7. Content you submit and licence

You retain ownership of the content you submit (photos, text). By submitting it, you grant PickPin and its users a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, use, display, reproduce, and adapt that content within the service and the shared community database — including after your account is deleted, in a form dissociated from your identity. You confirm that you hold the necessary rights to what you post (in particular photos) and that it does not infringe the rights of third parties.

8. Moderation and removal

We may review, edit, or remove any content, and suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms, without prior notice where necessary.

9. Intellectual property

The app, the name "PickPin", the logo, illustrations, and design are protected and remain our property. No use is permitted without our prior agreement.

10. Paid features

Some features may in the future be offered via a paid subscription; billing will then be handled through the app store (Google Play / App Store) under their own terms. As of today, the Premium offering is a free waitlist, with no payment.

11. Warranties and liability

The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, nor for decisions made on the basis of prices or availability submitted by the community. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be excluded by law, including your mandatory consumer rights in the EU.

12. Termination

You may stop using the service and delete your account at any time (Settings → delete account). We may suspend or terminate your account in the event of a breach. Some community content may remain in the shared database in a form dissociated from your identity.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. In the event of a material change, we will notify users in the app or by email. Continued use constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

14. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by Belgian law, without prejudice to the mandatory consumer-protection rules of your country of residence in the EU. Any dispute falls under the competent Belgian courts, subject to those consumer-protection rules.
